Mda Approach in Embedded Systems with Strict Real-time Response and On-the-fly Modelling Requirements

چکیده
The paper presents a proposal of a method for MDA based “on-the-fly” modelling of Musical Real Time Applications. The method is based on use of the Executable and Translatable UML approach (xtUML) with regards to implementation on embedded systems. Since the goal is to implement a real-time application requiring certain real-time Quality of Service (QoS) properties, the real-time response requirement influence on modelling is discussed as well. To provide a solution for the main user requirement, which is a possibility for an application model modification in real-time (during execution), we discuss a method, which splits the application into two parts. The first part is the implementation environment – the programmer/provider system, which will provide for the runtime environment of the second part, the user model itself, modelled using xtUML on-the-fly. The advantage of such separation results in an increased modelling easiness and reasonable real-time performance on user modelling as well as low signal

A Novel Approach to Background Subtraction Using Visual Saliency Map
Generally human vision system searches for salient regions and movements in video scenes to lessen the search space and effort. Using visual saliency map for modelling gives important information for understanding in many applications. In this paper we present a simple method with low computation load using visual saliency map for background subtraction in video stream. The proposed technique i...
متن کاملConsidering Architectural Properties in Real-time Play-out
Real-time embedded systems (RTES), as in the automotive domain, provide their functionality by executing software operations on hardware with restricted resources and by communicating via buses. The properties of the underlying architecture, i.e., execution times of software operations and bus latencies, cause delays during the provision of the functionality. At the same time, RTES have to fulf...
متن کاملMaximum Power Point Tracker for Photovoltaic Systems Based on Moth-Flame Optimization Considering Partial Shading Conditions
The performance of photovoltaic (PV) systems is highly dependent on environmental conditions. Due to probable changes in environmental conditions, the real-time control of PV systems is essential for exploiting their maximum possible power. This paper proposes a new method to track the maximum power point of PV systems using the moth-flame optimization algorithm. In this method, the PV DC-DC co...

This document is in response to the OMG Real-Time technologies RFI (ORBOS/9609-02). It is intended to provide responses to Requirements, Approach, Categories, Architecture and Technology aspects for integrating real-time technologies into OMG’s CORBA. This response is based on work done in the ReTINA ACTS project (project AC048) which purpose is to develop a flexible, real-time ORB, and on the ...
متن کاملQoS-aware MDA
System developers can often perceive managing QoS-requirements as complex, time consuming and abstract. As a result of not paying sufficient attention to QoS in the design phase, problems are discovered late in the development cycle, often not before the real system is set into operation. Thus, correcting QoS deficiencies often become very expensive and difficult to handle. One of the main reas...
